Sandra D. Elder, MD
Founder / Director

Dr. Elder is a summa cum laude and Phi Kappa Phi graduate of the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy and is licensed as a registered pharmacist. She also earned the Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ - New Jersey Medical School, in 1988, where she earned membership into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

Dr. Elder completed an internal medicine internship at St. Luke's Hospital, New York, NY, and a dermatology residency at MCP Hahnemann University, serving as chief resident during her final year. She has also completed additional training in the use of lasers for skin resurfacing, as well as tattoo, age spot, leg vein and hair removal.Dr. Elder is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Dermatology at Drexel University in Philadelphia.

She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr Elder has been named SJ Magazine's Top Doc and South Jersey Magazine's Top Physician consistently from 2004 through this year. With over 19 years of medical practice, Dr. Elder's clinical and research experience provides her patients with the most advanced procedures in cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Elder's special areas of expertise include dermatologic surgery, treatment of "spider veins" and varicosities of the legs using a unique combination of sclerotherapy and laser technology, and facial rejuvenation treatments, including microdermabrasion (MegaPeel), glycolic acid peels, Hydrafacial, RF Microneedling, Botox injections, several injectable "fillers" such as Juvederm Ultra, Restylane, Revanesse Versa and Lips, and even Sculptra for the longest lasting enhancement!

 

ANNA CALDERONE
PA-C

Anna Kathryn Calderone, MMS, PA-C is a dermatology Physician Assistant who joined Aesthetic Dermatology in March 2022. Anna completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Pittsburgh and received her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies with honors from Salus University in November 2021. She is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Anna's professional affiliations include the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). While Anna is a new PA, she had two years of dermatology experience working as a medical assistant at a busy dermatology practice in the suburbs of Philadelphia. During PA school, Anna completed her master's thesis on Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans, a rare skin cancer. Anna also completed two 4-week dermatology clinical rotations while in her clinical year of PA school. Anna is especially interested in general dermatology for all ages including skin cancer, psoriasis, rosacea, acne, eczema, and all other rashes/skin growths. She is training with Dr. Elder on surgical dermatologic procedures as well.

Anna was born and raised in the western suburbs of Philadelphia in Delaware County and currently lives in Philadelphia. When she is not working, she loves to spend time with her friends on the beach at the Jersey shore and read historical fiction books. She also enjoys running on the Philly Schuylkill river trail. She looks forward to meeting you and creating a long lasting patient-provider relationship.
