Botulinum toxin injection (Botox, Dysport, jeuveau)

Over time, repeated movement of the facial skin by the forehead muscle forms lines between the eyebrows. Frown lines are “dynamic” – they happen because of the way a person’s face moves. Because frown lines are created by facial movements, such as frowning or squinting, they may develop even in younger adults.

Botox®, Dysport®, and Jeuveau™ are administered as a simple, nonsurgical treatment that is injected directly into the muscles between the brows.

These treatments work by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces muscle activity that cause moderate to severe lines to form between the brows and along the forehead. This temporarily improves the look of your frown lines without changing the look of your whole face. Untreated facial muscles still work normally. So you look more relaxed with long-lasting results up to 4 months.

Dermal Fillers

If you’d like to restore youthful fullness to your face, enjoy plump lips, enhance shallow contours or soften those facial creases and wrinkles, dermal fillers may be the answer. Dermal fillers have been called “liquid facelifts” because they offer many of the benefits of a surgical facelift without the downtime.

Juvederm® or Restylane® (hyaluronic acids) are a natural substance found in your body. High concentrations are found in soft conective tissue and in the fluid surrounding your eyes. It’s also in some cartilage and joint fluids, as well as skin tissue. Hyaluronic acid is not derived from animal sources.

Sculptra® (poly-L-lactic acid) is a synthetic material. When it is injected, it stimulates the body’s own production of collagen. This substance is known to work particulary well in cheeks, jawline and temples and to fill out deep nasolabial folds. This substance is unlike other dermal fillers because it doesn’t produce immediate results. Instead it stimulates collagen production, so results appear gradually and naturally over a period of a few months.
